Siddhartha Degree College, Binka named after "Lord Vishnu - The Almighty", situated in the green surrounding of Ghantasini Hill is the only Degree College functioning in the Binka NAC of Subarnapur District since 1992 imparting Under-graduate course in Arts.

It is established with the selfless and dedicated service of the people of this locality with a view to promote higher education in this area. It is affiliated to Sambalpur University in 1993 with a sanctioned strength of 64 seats and run up-to the year 2008 in composite form but the Degree wing has been segregated from its parent college in the same year as per the new policy of Higher Education Dept, Govt. of Odisha. It comes under the Grant-In-Aid fold since the year 2009 and it has been included in the list of colleges prepared under section 2(f) & 12(B) of the UGC Act1956 under the head Non-Government colleges teaching up to Bachelors Degree. At present DHE, Govt. of Odisha has accorded opening permission for 256 seats in +3 Arts with History and Economics Hons. 32 seats each for the session 2015-16. This institution happens to be a leading institute of higher learning and a model of academic excellence by producing meritorious students with the dedicated and selfless sacrifice of the Teaching & Non-teaching faculties. Our motto is to promote the students as full-fledged citizen and make them alert to face the challenges of the time.
